[Ah-ha nevermind. In addition, you have to wait until I've calculated damage on the Pokemon before throwing another ball, as trainer actions come after all that + the crit and weakness to ghost fainted the Solosis.]

Konchi: 20 on a d20 is a Crit, so damage roll+base modifier should have been doubled, making it 30 physical ghost damage. The green Pokemon faints, and scurries off into the woods.
Matthew: The blue Pokemon is hit full in the face with Water Gun, and uses a Tackle attack on Watson. AC (base 3) Mt19|nh5d20 damage: 2d8+7 +10 = 19 Normal Physical Damage
Konchi and Matthew: Watson and Bonnie each gain 120 EXP.
Seth: Your PokeDex *dings* as it finishes scanning. "Slowpoke. The Dopey Pokemon. It lazes vacantly near water. If something bites its tail, it won't even notice for a whole day." The Slowpoke seems unimpressed with Flint's display.
Averie: The boy smiles. "Yeah, that's fine! Melody doesn't really enjoy playing either, you can keep her company." He motioned over to a Minun playing around a sand castle.
Sam: As you travel down the route, you hear the quiet whimpering of something, or someone, in a ditch at the left side of the road. The route overhangs it, so at first glance you can't see what is down there. You'll have to leave the path if you want to check on what is making that noise.d202d8+7

"Wow, your Bonnie is good." Amazed at the fact that Konchi has taken her pokemon out. "Well Watson lets see if we can't impress her with our battle skills one more Water Gun."

Seth pocketed the pokédex and turned his attention to the slowpoke. "Battle up Flint, use scratch!" Flint stopped his display and launched himself at the slowpoke with his claws bared.

"Dangit, you just had to hit it a little too hard Bonnie. Now I can't catch it." Konchi looked over at the disappearing form of the green ball dejectedly while waiting for Matthew to finish up.
(I knew that it was a crit, I just realized how defensively wimpy Solosis was and figured it didn't need the extra damage. I also figured that it would knock the Solosis out after I saw how much damage it was, I was just hoping for a miracle and that it would survive.)
(Edit: How does a fainted pokemon scurry away? And how do you feel about catching a fainted pokemon? Could I carry it around with me until it recovers or is there just no chance after it faints? Can I at least scan it into the pokedex?)

Averie's eyes lit up. Her mom had once had a client who had wanted a pair of perfect Plusle and Minun for a tag battle team, and she remembered how much sweet and cheerful the little rodent Pokemon usually were. "Ahh! Sure, that sounds great...!" She took a step towards where the Minun was sitting before realizing she was still holdling the ball. "Oh. You, uh, might need this," she laughed, passing the ball to the young man. "By the way, I never caught your name--I'm Averie, and you...already know this is Warren."
The Riolu yipped at the mention of his name, waving a paw.

[You can't not include Crit damage- 20 is a crit whether you wish it to be or not.][I treat fainting as a status condition that lowers it to 0 or below HP (-100% is different due to DST) and therefore, much like a Trainer would instantly recall a 0 HP Pokemon, fainting/lowering to 0 HP is simply making them unable to battle but still able to flee. I don't allow trainers to catch fainted Pokemon as as soon as they faint, they escape. Since we're just starting and had this hiccup, sure you've scanned Solosis into your Dex. Usually, if you're in battle, it'll take 3 rounds to scan.]

(I understand that you have to roll crit damage, I didn't mean that I didn't crit because I was trying to have it live, I figured it would already die without the crit damage. Sorry for the confusion.)

Flint reeled from the attack but promptly regained his composure. "Okay buddy, this time try an ember!" Flint was well versed in his fire based attacks and allthough they may not be the best against the water type his experience might aid him. Those thoughts were the ones passing through his mind right at the moment Flint sent his ember to join the sun.

*Edited previous post to include Improved Attacks bonus which I presume is rounded down? *Also should probably have noted that the display Flint was using when I scanned slowpoke was the intimidate ability he has, my bad on both counts. 1d20

As a strange but soft crying meets Sam and Pepper’s ears, the two pause and look at each other unsure of what the noise is. “Might be someone hurt down there. Come on Pep’, let’s go check it out. “ Sam maneuvers her way down into the ditch, and begins to search for the source of the noise.
