As they walked the realization hit Hogan that he hadn't done a job in a while, that he very well may not have any money to pay for the umbrella. Reaching down to his wallet and bringing it up he opened it, relieved to see money that he had forgot about. Putting it back he chuckled to himself about how bad it would've been to convince this girl to walk all the way back to town when he couldn't buy here a umbrella, luckily that wasn't the case. Hogan sighed and looked around the route, seeing the grass move slightly and tree branches buckle under the weight of some unknown pokemon. The idea that him and Shroom were a bit weak came to mind, he would need to step his game up before he wanted to get on the road to starting his quest. He smiled to himself as his dad's favorite words came to mind. "Time to train." He then came back to reality and realized how weird he just acted, he first looked into his wallet, then laughed to himself, then said I need to train out loud. He hoped that he didn't scare this girl off but then again he'd be pretty scared of this psycho who talks to himself and laughs while they walked that was himself. He just relaxed and set his eye on the horizon, once the reached the next town he'd buy Jeannie her umbrella, heal up Shroom, and probably go right back out to the route so they could start to train against some wild and ready to fight pokemon. Life, had started to get exciting.
