"Oh arceus, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Are you all right?" Hogan asked as he looked around for the umbrella but it was already gone. Shroom on the other hand spotted a pokeball on the trainer and started to get excited bouncing up and down.

Riki: Beautifly uses Harden again! When the Ball connects, it shakes once. Twice. Three times... *snap* Beautifly breaks free!

Hogan: "Oh... my umbrella..." The girl says in dismay. "I'm fine though, just going to end up getting a bit wet... Are you okay?"

"Oh, yeah I'm fine, um, ha, hi, I'm Hogan." Hogan said holding out his hand to shake hers as he gave her a smile.

"Again I'm very sorry about your umbrella, I'm heading to Eridanus Town actually, if you're going the same way I'd be more than happy to buy you a new one. Besides me and Shroom here would love the company." Hogan turned to acknowledge Shroom only to see Shroom jumping around as if to start a fight himself. "Haha, sorry bout him, he's a bit anxious, it's our first day out of the school and on the road so he's been looking for a fight ever since we left."

Riki: As soon as the Nest Ball connects with the Beautifly, it clicks shut. Beautifly was caught!

Hogan: The girl blushes. "Well, you know, I was actually heading away from Eridanus Town, but you seem nice enough, I'd be more than happy to travel with you. I'm Jeanine."

Wohoo! Riki jumps in joy while whistling the Final Fantasy 4 Victory tune. I think i'm going to Name you Navi. Riki takes out both and heals them with potions.

"Jeanie, that's a pretty name." Hogan said with his smile as he started to walk forward again, this time with another companion. Shroom grumbled low but followed none the less. "So, where were you heading before I knocked into you? I personally am out to find my mom, she was a ranger and one time she never came back, we didn't hear anything about what she was doing or where she went. I decided I'd find out what happened to her once and for all. I may hit up some gyms along the way, just to keep me and Shroom in shape." Hogan turned his head forward as he wanted to make sure he was going the right way this time. Though running into another pretty lady wouldn't be bad, he was just happy to have a companion now, no matter how temporary or permanent she may be.

Riki: (The forest leads to Gemini, the path to Eridanus to the one Hogan went down)

Hogan: Jeanine is silent for a bit. "That's uh, well, that's a very personal thing to share with someone you've just met. As for myself, I was headed to catch a ride to Corvus City- I'm taking a job in the Gym there."

"That may be, but the way I see it is when someone knows your life story, you only have room to make new stories with them." He gave her another warm smile as Shroom seemed to chirp in agreement. "A gym job huh? Are you going to be like a new leader or something? That's one interesting job. Have a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Hogan leans forward a little to see how many pokeballs Jeanie had on display. "You know once we get to Eridanus Town we could have a friendly one on one, I know Shroom here would love to have a scrimitch." Shroom seems to perk up at this and jumps around joyfully.

Riki: It's raining slightly, and most Pokemon and people have decided to stay off the roads, You see two people walking further ahead, and hear a whimpering coming from beside the road.

Hogan: "No, no, I'm just going to be a Gym Trainer, to challenge Trainers before they take on the Leader." She mused for a moment. "I suppose we could have a friendly battle- couldn't hurt."

Hogan looked around and then down to Shroom who seemed to have the same idea. "You know, why don't we do it here? Better to have it out on a route than in a crowded town. What do you say Jeanie? Ready to take me on?"  Hogan said with a cocky smile as Shroom jumped in front of him, uttering a battle cry of his name. 

#This is my first battle in PTA so I'm not a hundred percent sure on some of this stuff. I believe we start with initiatives which are based on our speeds?

Riki Notices both the whimpering and the 2 people at the same time. Hmm, where should i go first? ... I know! I'll send out Navi to scout out the whimpering!


Riki sends out Navi, which makes a slightly grumpy "Fly!". Now Navi, Would you be so kind as to scout out the whimpering for me? I'll get you a special treat later!


Navi thinks for a moment, and decides to start moving towards the whimpering. Meanwhile, Riki starts to catch up to the two people in font of him. Hey, wait up!
