Sam gives the tan pokemon an understanding nod and inches forward so that she can get a better look at the parent pokemon. Her eyes furrow in concentration as she attempts to examine the pokemon for any physical injuries and also to see if it was simply still even breathing. "Hey, hey, slow down!" Averie laughed, jogging after the energetic mouse. She glanced one last time at her Riolu, who was throwing his paws in the air in celebration--she guessed his team must have scored a point? Maybe he would behave himself....

Matthew: The Elekid shoots sparks from its fingers. Clearly it wants to battle.
Sam: [Well, it's pretty obvious anyway.] As you check over the larger Pokemon, you can clearly see that it isn't breathing. And there's no pulse. The larger Pokemon is definitely dead. No wonder the small tan one was crying so much.
Averie: The Minun pauses and looks back at Averie before bounding off into the surf.

Seth: You begin to head back in the direction you think you were heading in earlier- nothing is looking familiar but you figure you'll find the path eventually. As you walk you come across a Pokemon with a red and white shell and yellow head and appendages.

"H-hey, wait up, Melody!" She'd seen a plethora of fins earlier, meaning the water was most certainly inhabitated by Pokemon. Now, Minun were electric types, so Averie wasn't terribly worried about type advantage (unless they were unlucky enough to have a disgruntled Barboach wash ashore), but the little mouse wasn't her Pokemon--how would she explain to Trevor if his partner got hurt? "Don't run off too far into the water!"

"Well the little guy wants a battle. So after we see how this goes we can head back and heal up and move on to Eridanus if you wish." Thinking to himself Matthew thinks, Watson may not last more than a round or two, so maybe give his no mon a try. "Hey little guy mind if I use another who is not as injured?" He reaches for the Munchlax's ball releasing him. "Hey I think I am going to call you Gustav if that is alright with you and I have someone who wants to battle. Well let's try a Tackle to start off." (Elekid is gonna go first)

Seth stopped suddenly when he saw the pokémon ahead. The path was surely this way and the red and white shelled pokémon was in the middle. He took Flint's pokéball in one hand ready and his pokédex in his other and pressed scan.

"Sounds good to me." Konchi sends out her Taillow. "Here, you can play with Bonnie. As for your name, I think I will call you Patty." While she waits for Matthew and the Elekid to finish their fights she scans the Elekid and watches the two birds wheeling around in the sky.

Sam released a small sigh and leaned back against the edge of the ditch. Her eyes drifted sadly over to the young pokemon. Today was a day of celebration for her, but for this little one it was a day of mourning. “I’m sorry. It looks like there is nothing I can do. “ Her eyes swiftly moved away from the young pokemons face, and an awkward silence fell as she struggled to find the words to say. It was a shame to think that one as young as it had just lost its parent, but this was a sad reality for many pokemon and humans alike. “You shouldn't stay out here alone. You are always welcome to join my companion and I on our journey.” Sam motioned up to the Ponyta standing on the path overhead. She attempted to give the tan pokemon a small smile, despite her words being a bit blunt. “We don’t have much but we can take care of you. We can make sure you stay safe and we will work together to grow strong. If you’re willing, we would love for you to join our family.”
