The girl pulls a sheet of paper out of her bag, and draws you a quick map, circling an alley. "Go there. Ask for Crackle." The girl notices the Telepathy and throws a punch at you.

(I didn't think Telepathy would be any more obvious than just standing there looking at someone. What am I doing physically when I'm using Telepathy? Am I scrunching up my face with my hands on my temples? ) 3UzS5Yfkd20-2d20-2

(Some people can have the power to sense the Telepathy.) The punch grazes your face, doing 1lTTx7pN1d8+4 Damage1d8+4

(His strength is only 4. I imagine he sucks in a fight.)
Travis stumbles, catching himself before he falls over completely. "Hey! That hurts!"
(Did I gather anything from my attempt?)

(It's an alleyway to buy TMs. Assuming your character is intelligent enough, you reason these will be sketchy TMs at best. You also gathered that people don't enjoy having their minds read. Obviously.)
"What do you think you're doing? You think you can just invade someone's personal headspace like that?" She tosses a PokeBall and a Houndoom stands before you. "I'm not going to dirty my hands attacking you again. Talia. It's all you." The Houndoom barks at her Trainer and growls at you, padding closer.

"Ok, ok, your point is made." Travis gets to his feet and heads off to this alleyway. (Just out of curiosity, how useful will Telepathy be in your game? Should I not bother using it? I'm just concerned because if Random Street Thug Girl #17 can detect my Telepathy, it might be a feature I just pretend I don't have. )

(Telepathy on people will be tricky- this girl isn't random street thug girl, she's challenging the gym leader. random street thugs probably won't be able to detect it, and most pokemon don't notice/don't care. Essentially, it's all good with pokemon (except for psychic and some dark/ghost types) but people you need to be careful and not use it willy-nilly.)
As you travel through the city to the alleyway, you notice that most people in this town seem to avert their gaze from anyone else. When you finally reach the alley, a tall man in dark clothes stops you.

"I was told to come here to Crackle if I wanted to buy a TM."
Meditite will stick his head out from behind my leg. He's both eager and apprehensive to defend Travis should trouble break out.

Travis will stride forward into the alleyway as confidently as he can pretend. Subconsciously gripping his backpack, it is fairly clear he is way out of his element.

"Hey kid- wanna buy some PokeBalls?" "What about some Pokemon?" "Potions? Revives? Healing Items?" "Technical Machines? Technical Machines?"

(As much as I would love to continue, I've been at work for the last hour dodging doing anything productive and can no longer continue to do so I'll catch you later! Thanks for making me feel so spoiled!)

(I have five minutes! Time for another post!)
Travis walks first over to the TM stand and explains what he is looking for to the vendor. Assuming he shows Travis what he's looking for, Travis is going to look it over for imperfections. eItsFN3nd20+4

The man shrugs. "Look kid, if you came here, it's obvious you ain't searchin' for quality. You're searchin' for specifics. I can't guarantee nothin'." He sells the following which may pertain to your interests: TM40- Aerial Ace, for 1000 TM47- Low Sweep, for 750 TM54- False Swipe, for 500 TM94- Rock Smash, for 600 TM98- Power-Up Punch, for 900

(Was my inspection good enough to warrant any additional information? Do I recall anything from my teachings(High int, I assume I'm well read) about what I can expect from black market TMs, both mechanically and RP-wise?)
(Also, are you expecting your players to stay on the righteous anime-and-game path, or is it truly freeform? I'm fantasizing about instigating a populist revolt to break the Pokemart monopoly on goods(which may well make my character a "villain") and other such shenanigans, and wondering if you would rather players stay on the straight and narrow, or would you be open to such things?)
