Averie smiled, chuckling at the Jolteon's eagerness. "I take it that was good?"
Warren made an irritable sound, and Averie glared at him. "We'll get more later, calm down."
She turned her attention back to the Jolteon. "So. Are we cool? We don't wanna fight--"
"Ri--"
"We don't wanna fight," Averie repeated more emphatically, running over Warren's protests. She held a hand out to the Jolteon. "So everything good? Can...can I pet you?"

Averie: The Jolteon nudges your hand, guiding it along the bristly fur. The electricity caused tiny sparks to show up between your fingers and the fur, and it kind of a tingles a bit. It sits down and looks at you, tilting its head to one side.
Nathan: The Mime Jr. looks up at you and scowls. You've interrupted its feast, and it isn't very happy about that. It puts up a Barrier in order to prepare itself for the inevitable attacks that will follow.

The sparks pricked at Averie's fingertips--not enough to hurt, but enough to leave them feeling fuzzy. She'd never felt a Jolteon's fur before. It was wiry, its fur comprised of thick fibers. She'd never felt anything quite like it.
"Hey there, cutie--see, we don't want to hurt you." Averie felt like a broken record, but if it kept the Pokemon calm, hey, she was all for it. She gently stroked down the Jolteon's snout, settling behind its ears, scratching it lightly with her fingernails.
